Storme
Makeup Artist & Qualified Hairdresser
(Founder and Head Artist)
I am a Surrey based wedding makeup artist and hairstylist. Experienced and professionally trained in both makeup artistry and hairdressing. My father, having worked at Cape Town Cuty Free, enabled him to bring home copious amounts of makeup and beauty products for me to play with. Ever since a child I have had a passion for beauty and always knew that it was my calling.
After graduating from school, in Cape town, South Africa – I enrolled in a Makeup and Special Effects course at The Makeup Issue in 2008. I then went on to do my hairdressing Diploma with Carlton Hair International and qualified as a hairdresser in 2010.
Whilst studying, I worked part time at Bobbi Brown and MAC, which allowed me to learn and explore the different fields within the makeup industry.
By being strong in both hair and makeup, I’ve had the privilege of being represented by a leading agency in Cape Town, Gloss Artist Management. This allowed me to work on many International photo shoots and commercials such as Lipsy, Coca Cola, Timberland, Jack Wills to name a few. I still have a foot in Television, working as a freelancer at Al Jazeera English News channel in London.
Since getting married myself and moving to London, my focus and passion has been within the wedding industry. I got married 10 years ago and having experienced what brides go through first hand, really opened my eyes as to what goes into having a wedding. I have a new love and passion for this industry and have an understanding and patience for working with brides-to-be. I can honestly say I share their excitement and enthusiasm.
I’ve experienced how one feels on the wedding morning and that a relaxed, calm, highly skilled and confident person doing your hair and makeup is crucial.
I have several luxury brands in my kit including Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, Channel, Bobbi Brown, Huda, Charlotte Tilbury and MAC to name a few.
